Especially Stroopwafels is a 501(3)(c) non-profit bake shop developed to create employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a professional kitchen setting. 

 

The Especially Stroopwafels team will provide baked goods to the local community, and online.  The team has chosen to focus on stroopwafels, an artisanal Dutch cookie consisting of two thin waffles filled with a rich syrupy caramel, that have gained popularity in the United States.

The team will be using a fresh, made-to-order approach and in the process will be trained to utilize every day kitchen tools and appliances while learning additional skills such as organization, safety, responsibility and accountability.

Stroopwafels are the perfect, portable and delicious sweet treat and the Especially Stroopwafel team cannot wait to bake them for you!!
